Exciting News: Positive Changes to our Non-Sufficient Funds Policy

Written by | Securityplus FCU

In our continuous efforts to support and empower your financial journey, we’ve made some significant changes to our Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) policy. These updates, effective as of April 14, 2024, are designed to reduce fees, simplify transactions, and enhance your financial well-being.

Here is what changed:

  • Fee Forgiveness: For ACH and inclearing checks under $30, and debit card transactions of $5 or less, NSF fees will no longer apply if your account balance is insufficient. This means fewer fees and more peace of mind for you.
  • Courtesy Pay Enhancements: Enroll in Courtesy Pay to have transactions approved even if they exceed your balance by up to $500. This buffer is designed to give you more flexibility and avoid the inconvenience of declined transactions.
  • Daily Limit on NSF Fees: We are capping NSF fees at six per day, which means fees beyond this limit will not be charged. This will help you to manage your funds more effectively, without the worry of accumulating excessive fees.
  • Elimination of Representment Fees: We’ve also removed representment fees associated with ACH and inclearing transactions to help reduce your financial burden.

Our goal is to ensure that your banking experience is as positive and empowering as possible. These policy changes reflect our commitment to you - our valued member – and your financial well-being.

Thank you for trusting us as your financial partner. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
